The Catalan literature, publishing world and society (LiCMES) study group performs research on the confluence between the discipline of Catalan literature, focused on the contemporary period, and the publishing industry. As a basic principle for research that seeks to focus its gaze on the social dimension of literature, it accepts the undertaking to cooperate in achieving equity between women and men, ensuring a transversal integration of the gender perspective. The research is organized in four fields:Literary studies and social projection.Digital literary creations.Publishing world.Subaltern voices.LiCMES seeks to strengthen the presence and meaning of literature in Catalan society, with the complicity of different cultural agents engaged in encouraging reading, taking into account demographic changes, new reader profiles and new culture consumption habits, and connect Catalan literature with current academic debate.
