Research lines

  • Technology-enhanced Learning and AssessmentThis research line focuses on the analysis, design, development and assessment of e-learning and e-assessment systems to evaluate students' ability to follow along and level of skills acquisition. The design of tools and resources and their application in educational contexts are analysed to assess their influence and impact on the learning process.Human-computer interactionThis research line includes two sub-lines: 1) Techniques for analysing data and designing their display so that they are useful for the end users, with special interest in technology-enhanced learning and e-assessment processes. 2) Analysis of the design of tools and resources for e-learning and e-assessment with the aim of enhancing user experience.Knowledge Representation and EngineeringThis research line focuses on the theoretical study of knowledge representation systems, within the field of artificial intelligence; more specifically, research into knowledge representation systems and reasoning for modelling formal intelligent systems.Application and tools developmentSupport tools for the evaluation process.
