The research conducted by the interinstitutional group Epi4Health (Research Group in Epidemiology and Public Health in the Digital Health context) is a recognized emerging research group (2021 SGR 01364) that focuses on: the study of health-related behaviour in especially vulnerable groups, such as adolescents and young adults, the elderly or people with social problems; analysing social inequality in the field of health and both individual and social factors determining health that influence the health-related behaviour of these groups; detecting needs in healthcare, and designing and assessing intervention; and the use of eHealth and ICT to teach people to change their behaviour in order to prevent chronic illness.
