Farzana Kabir is a doctoral researcher in the KISON (K-ryptography and Information Security for Open Networks) research group at IN3 (Internet Interdisciplinary Institute), Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UoC), supported by the FPI Predoctoral Grant since 2019. She has done both her bachelor's and master's in computer science and engineering. At UoC, her research focuses on information security and privacy, specifically in privacy-enhanced IoT-enabled smart homes, utilizing cryptographic and data-hiding techniques. Her work is part of the ‘CONSENT Project - GDPR-compliant consumer-facing IoT,’ the ‘6GENABLERS Project - Reliability, privacy, and security in 6G’ and the ‘SECURING Project—Bringing Sustainable Cybersecurity to the Internet of Things - Cybersecurity’. She has authored multiple publications in reputed international journals and conferences. She aspires to bridge research and real-world applications by developing secure, user-centric privacy solutions integrating cryptography with AI in the future.
