Doctor by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya with the thesis El equilibrio en el mercado laboral: El encaje entre la oferta y la demanda de trabajo y entre la formación y las características de la ocupación en la era digital 2021. Supervised by Dr. Josep Lladós Masllorens, Dr. Raúl Ramos Lobo.

The adoption of ICT by business has probably changed job requirements and, therefore, the skills and knowledge required of workers, as well as the way in which businesses organise their work. Given this, it is only to the extent that workers and businesses are able to adapt to these new requirements that there will be a positive effect on employment. In this regard, the work of researcher Pau Cortadas is based on the analysis of complementarities in the labour market, taking a microeconomic look at the overall effect of ICT and organisational and labour-related changes on the employment market. He is a student on the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya's (UOC) doctoral programme in the Information and Knowledge Society. Holder of a master's degree in the Information and Knowledge Society from the UOC and adegree in Economics from the University of Barcelona. Since 2001, he has been a Fundamentals of Economics professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya's (UOC) Faculty of Economics and Business. His research interests lie in the field of labour economics.
