She has a bachelor's degree in Psychology (1987) and a postgraduate qualification in Psychopedagogical Assessment and Counselling (1988). She earned her PhD in Psychology from the University of Barcelona in 2004. She teaches in the Psychology of Education and Teaching department of the UOC's Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences. She has played an active role in research projects related to the analysis of educational interactions and discourse from the perspective of studies on educational influence, and in studies of the processes involved in constructing knowledge, assessment and feedback in online teaching and learning contexts. Her main research interests at present focus on feedback processes and how they affect students' ability to self-regulate their learning, together with the contextual, cognitive, affective, motivational and emotional factors that affect these processes.
