Doctor by the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha with the thesis La denominación de origen en los mercados vinícolas. Sus efectos en las relaciones empresa-consumidor en un contexto relacional 2001. Supervised by Dr. María Jesús Yagüe Guillén.

Ana Isabel Jiménez Zarco has a PhD in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Castilla-La Mancha and a postgraduate diploma in the Construction of Models in Ecology and Natural Resource Management from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. She received an award for her doctoral thesis from the Economic Studies Institute (IEE). Up until 2002, she conducted her teaching and research activities in the Marketing Department of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. From 2003 to 2006, she was co-director of the master's degree in Marketing and Communication Management and, from 2006 to 2012, director of the second-cycle degree in Business Administration at the UOC. She has also made several research visits to the University of East Anglia and the University of Brighton in the UK and the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo in Mexico. As a researcher, her main areas of interest are entrepreneurship, value co-creation processes, business and social innovation, brand image and identity, and the analysis of technology adoption and dissemination processes. Since 2015, she has been an evaluator for the European Union's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Innovative Training Networks programme (H2020-MSCA-ITN) and, since 2012, also an evaluator for Spain's National Evaluation Agency (AEI), in the field of business and social innovation. She has authored more than 70 articles for national and international journals, appeared in international JCR-SSCI-indexed journals, and numerous book chapters. She has acted as associate editor of Humanities and Social Sciences Communications and Frontiers in Psychology. She also serves as a reviewer for Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Business Venturing, European Journal of Marketing, and Interactive Learning Environments.
