PhD in Communication (UPF). Associate Professor in Information and Communication Sciences and researcher of the Communication Networks and Social Change (CNSC) research group at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She studies the social and political implications of data-driven technologies and the business model of big tech platforms, based on their exploitation. She is particularly interested in their effects on the political economy of communication, democracy, social justice and fundamental rights. She has professional experience in algorithmic auditing and digital policy advising and directs the academic journal Quaderns del CAC edited by the Catalan Audiovisual Council.
