Doctor by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with the thesis Artificial neural networks in the wastewater industry from conventional to data-based control 2022. Supervised by Dr. Ramon Vilanova Arbós, Dr. José López Vicario, Dr. Antoni Morell.
Ivan Pisa Dacosta holds a PhD (Cum Laude) in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Previously, he graduated in Telecommunications Systems Engineering in 2016 and in the Master in Engineering Telecommunications in 2018, at the same university. Achieving, in both cases, the extraordinary awards of degree. In addition, in 2018, he also received the distinction for the best academic career from the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers of Spain. The R+D+i activity of the researcher Ivan Pisa Dacosta focuses on the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence methodologies in the world of telecommunications. His research is also based on the improvement and design of processes that seek a more efficient use of telecommunications, especially from an applied point of view, for example, in the industry. He is an active member of the UOC's WINE (Wireless Networks Research Lab) research group and has collaborated with the (WIN) Wireless Information Networking research group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
