She is professor of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya's (UOC) Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences since 2005. Holder of a European doctoral degree from the University of Barcelona (UB), bachelor's degrees in Journalism (UAB) and Documentation (UOC), and a master's degree in the Information Society (IN3-UOC). She has been adjunct professor since 2004 in different universities: UAB, UPF and UOC. Currently, she is a full professor at the UOC for courses in journalism, data and research within the Bachelor's Degree in Communication, the Master's Degree in Journalism and the Master's Degree in Data Science, among others. Within her research work, she has participated in the Euryka project, focusing on the role of the communication and social media in young people's involvement in politics and social movements. She is working in the WAWW project, which analyses the presence of women in Wikipedia, applying qualitative approaches to ascertain the reasons why women participate less and drop out before publishing in this collaborative encyclopaedia.
