Doctor by the Universitat de Barcelona with the thesis Balanç benefici/risc del contingut en polifenols i alcohol del vi bases científiques dels efectes del consum moderat de vi sobre el sistema cardiovascular 2013. Supervised by Dr. Ramón Estruch Riba.

Holder of a doctoral degree in Medicine from the University of Barcelona (UB), Special Award for the 2012/2013 academic year, a master's degree in Food Development and Innovation (UB), a bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology (UB), and a diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Her research focuses on the search for new biomarkers for atherosclerosis, thrombosis and cardiovascular risk, and how certain components of the diet influence cardiovascular risk through those biomarkers. She is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), where she is a member of various working groups. She has published more than 60 articles indexed in PubMed, with more than 3,000 citations.
