Doctor by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with the thesis Language learner engagement in asynchronous discussion forums: an exploratory study 2020. Supervised by Dr. Dolors Masats Viladoms, Dr. Eulàlia Canals Fornons.

Jackie Robbins' R&I activity is centred on the field of language learner engagement in asynchronous discussion forums.    Her other areas of interest include educational innovation in language learning, task design for developing writing and speaking skills, and the role of the teacher in the online language learning process.
