Doctor by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya with the thesis A computationel model for the construction of knowledge-based collaborative learning distribuited applications 2008. Supervised by Dr. Thanasis Daradoumis, Dr. Fatos Xhafa.

Researcher Santi Caballé's R&I work focuses on the study of e-learning from an interdisciplinary point of view. His main research interests are educational engineering, software engineering and distributed computing. He also specializes in data science applied to education. He is principal investigator in the UOC’s SmartLearn group, recognized as a consolidated research group by the Government of Catalonia (2017 SGR 877).
