Doctor by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra with the thesis A low power listening with wake up after transmissions MAC protocol for WSNs 2011. Supervised by Dr. Boris Bellalta Jiménez, Dr. Miquel Oliver Riera.

I received my PhD in Information, Communication and Audiovisual Media Technologies from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in 2011. Thereafter, I spent time as a research fellow at the Maynooth University Hamilton Institute (2012-2014), Trinity College Dublin (2015-2016) and Inria-Lille in France (first half of 2016). I am currently an associate professor in the Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), where I mainly teach maths courses. I am also a research member of the UOC's Wireless Networks Research Group (WINE). My research interests include the coexistence of heterogeneous wireless networks and distributed resource allocation. I have recently turned my focus to science and technology studies, trying to understand how social and technological factors intertwine in the development of wireless networks, with a special interest in the environmental impact of mobile networks.
