Researcher Joan Melià Seguí's R&I work focuses on the Internet of Things (IoT), intelligent systems, security and privacy. Specifically, his research interests lie where wireless communications and data analysis intersect, with the aim of extracting context information that enables decision-making, event prediction and improvements to security and privacy. The results can be applied to a wide range of applications, from industry 4.0 to smart cities and care for people with disabilities. He is a member of the Wireless Networks Research Lab (WINE) at the UOC, and he collaborates with the K-riptography and Information Security for Open Networks (KISON) research group, also at the UOC.
