Doctor by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra with the thesis Periodismo de investigación televisivo. Marco teórico y metodológico par el análisis de la modernidad 2003. Supervised by Dr. Montse Quesada.

He conducts research into communication in organizations, particularly that carried out via the internet and, more specifically, on social networks. He views communication as a strategic tool at the service of the persuasive capacity of companies, institutions and other organizations in a changing context that is prone to generate crisis situations if the risks are not managed appropriately. He actively partners with social media platforms as a knowledge transfer activity and has also been editor-in-chief of COMeIN, the UOC Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences' journal, since its inception.
