Her main area of research is child and youth victimization, especially school bullying, child sexual victimization, online grooming, sextortion, cyberbullying and risky online behaviours such as sexting and online gambling. Her research has led her to publish more than thirty papers on these topics, many of them in first and second quartile JCR journals. She has also published a book and a handbook on cybercrime and online victimization through first quartile SPI publishers, and has contributed a number of chapters to collective works. Since 2013, she has collaborated in several competitive projects at the national level and has taken part in numerous conferences both in Spain and abroad.  In terms of teaching, she has been the academic and teaching coordinator for the Master's Degree in Cybercrime at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) and has taught classes on crime, school life and victimology on the bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Criminology at the Universitat de València (UV), on the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education at the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR), and on the Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and the University Master's Degree in Cybercrime at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), where she is currently a lecturer. As a legal psychologist she has coordinated the Vicki Bernadet Foundation's Centro Terapéutico y Jurídico (a therapy and legal advice centre), which for more than twenty years has been assisting professionals, families and victims of child sexual abuse in Barcelona and Zaragoza.
