Sílvia Sivera's R&I activity focuses on how information and communication technologies (ICT) are being used by organizations (advertisers and advertising agencies) in communication, especially for advertising purposes. Her main research interests involve studying the nature and dimensions of viral marketing and advertising, as well their social media engagement. She also specializes in advertising creativity from the perspective of new alternative forms of persuasive communication. As the director of the UOC's eLearning Innovation Center, her main field of activity is educational innovation.
