His R&D&i activity falls also within the broader field of Information Systems Management, with a focus—though not exclusively—on the study of the processes involved in the full set of provisioning processes (analysis, selection, development, implementation, adoption, and evaluation) of information systems, services, and technologies (ISST). His work covers both public and private sector cases. He has a particular interest, on one hand, in the selection of ISST providers and the management of relationships with them; and, on the other hand, in the design and implementation of technological and organizational solutions from a strategic perspective, as well as the impact on these of data science and artificial intelligence. In addition, he also conducts research on experiences and curriculum design in computer science at university level, with attention to the gender-related aspects involved.
