The R&D activities of researcher Josep Esteban García focus on researching and analysing the processes, critical factors and strategies for the integration of ICT into health systems, specifically identifying the transformations arising in the interactions between ICT and the organisation. He also develops new and powerful means of transferring new knowledge to healthcare professionals, as well as networked collaboration and continuing training systems that help keep knowhow up to date. Lastly, he researches into and analyses computer simulation projects, developments and applications and, particularly, virtual reality and videogame tool simulation, etc., applied to medicine (surgery, psychiatry, training, etc.) and most especially in the world of epidemiology and public health. He is a member of the UOC's EHEALTHLAB R&D group.
