The R&D activities of researcher Natàlia Cantó Milà focus on the study of social production of subjectivity in contemporary society from the perspectives of cultural studies, the sociology and history of culture, philosophy, the media and art history and theory. With a cross-cutting viewpoint gained from theoretical and empirical research into the fields of art, popular culture and current culture, as well as participation in social debates on culture, this research group focuses on the transformation of the link between culture and society as a consequence of the development of the consumer society and technological means in contemporary society and global capitalism. She is a member of the UOC's GlobaLS (Global Literary Studies Research Group) R&D group.
