Doctor by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with the thesis Multitask Learning Techniques for Automatic Face Classification 2009. Supervised by Dr. Jordi Vitrià Marca, Dr. David Masip Rodó.

The R&I activities of the researcher Àgata Lapedriza focus on computer vision, affective computing and the application of these to social robotics and human welfare. She currently leads the Artificial Intelligence for Human Well-being (AIWELL) research group at the UOC's eHealth Center.
