Dr Albert Solé-Ribalta is a professor of big data technologies and machine learning, and a member of the Complex Systems @ IN3 (CoSIN3) research group at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. His research work focuses on the fields of computational social sciences, urban science and dynamic processes in complex networks. His current research interests centre on the study of active, sustainable and safe mobility in cities. His research has attracted interest from the public and the media, and he has published in high-impact scientific journals, with over 3,500 citations and an h-index of 21.
