Researcher Laura Solanilla Demestre's work focuses on the study of cultural heritage and its relationship with technology, the museumization of intangible cultural heritage and the identity issues related to it. She has recently been taking a more in-depth look at the "heritagization" of intangible cultural heritage as a process, at the heritage management of historical memory and at the relationship between culture, memory and identity in contemporary society. She is a researcher with the UOC’s IdentiCat (Language, Culture and Identity in the Global Era) research group.
