Doctor by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with the thesis Avaluació del clima motivacional i de les actituds de fairplay en futbolistes alevins i infantils i efectes de l'assessorament psicològic a llurs entrenadors. 1997. Supervised by Dr. Jaume Cruz Feliu.

My scientific career began in 1991, coinciding with my incorporation as a professor in the Area of Methodology of Behavioral Sciences at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). During this period, I combined teaching with doctoral training and participation in applied research projects in Sports Psychology as a member of the Sports Psychology Study Group (GEPE) of the UAB. Within this framework, I developed my doctoral thesis (1997), focused on research on motivation and sportsmanship in sports. One of my main contributions to sports science has been the validation of an instrument to assess fair play in football, published in the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology (Boixadós et al., 2004). From 2002 to the present, my research activity has focused primarily on the area of health and quality of life. I would like to highlight my role as a driving member of a new line of health and network research that crystallized in the creation of the PSiNET research group (Psychology, Health and Network), coinciding with my incorporation as a professor at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). This group was established in 2002 to study the psychological aspects linked to the use of information and communication technologies for health and quality of life. It aims to become a reference research group in the field of health in Spain, both in terms of the level of conceptual and theoretical development, and to apply this knowledge in applied intervention projects. As a result of this line, from 2003 to 2011, I directed two Competitive R&D&I Projects subsidized by the Ministry of Science and Innovation ("Health and Quality of Life in the Knowledge Society: Conceptual, Methodological and Applied Aspects and" Quality of Life in Caregivers of Children with Chronic Disorders: An Intervention Through Example of this, the WEBSITE aimed at an essential and often forgotten group: caregivers of children with chronic disorders. All the work carried out by the PSiNET group was recognized as an emerging research group (SGR Call 2009) and as a consolidated research group (SGR Call 2014 and SGR Call 2017- Reference: SGR389). And currently (since 2022), PSiNET changes its name (Behavioural Design Lab, BDLab) and is recognized as a consolidated group (2021 SGR 00198) by the Generalitat de Catalunya. BDLab specializes in the design of behavior from the promotion of health and quality of life. The BDLab is attached to the UOC eHealth Center as part of the TECSAM network (2021 XARDI 00005). As highlighted in my CV, my scientific career would highlight the uninterrupted research activity since 1991 that has allowed me to integrate part of my teaching experience in methodology and statistics in applied research. Another notable aspect of the scientific career is the consideration obtained by the scientific community which translates into: a) reviewer of ANEP projects; b) the inclusion of different national and international journals in the peer review process of articles in the field of psychology and sports sciences.
