The R&D activities of researcher Francesc Núñez focus on the study of emotions in the social contexts of production, on studying the institutional causes of emotions. Emotions form part (and are indeed an inseparable one) of the tapestry of social relations, that which links people together, gives the (social) world meaning and forms an inseparable part of the (modern) "me" identity. How intensive use of electronic communication affects how the relationship is experienced and conceived of and how it can change interpersonal communications. He also specialises in the sociology of knowledge and culture.
