Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis Ciudad y comunicación gestión de la imagen de marca en distritos culturales y creativos. Análisis de los casos del digbeth (birmingham), el barrio de st. George (leicester) y el ouseburn valley (newcastle upon tyne), en reino unido 2020. Supervised by Dr. Miguel Ángel Chaves Martín.
She has an international PhD in Communication (Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), 2020), won a National End-of-Degree Award in Advertising and Public Relations (UCM, 2014), and was top of her class in the Master's Degree in Digital Audiovisual Communication (UCM, 2015). As part of her PhD, she took part in the Europaeum Scholars Programme of excellence led by Oxford University (2018-2020). She has conducted several research and teaching stays at universities including, among others, the University of Northumbria, De Montfort University and the Geddes Institute for Urban Research (UK) and the University of Maia (ISMAI) (Portugal). Her line of research, which is linked to the GAME research group, focuses on citizen participation and communication. She has published some of its results in prestigious journals including Prisma Social (SJR), and with international publishers such as Peter Lang, Palgrave Macmillan and Dykinson. She is also the author of the monograph City branding. Fundamentos y aplicaciones de marca en espacios culturales y creativos (Fragua, 2021).
