Leandro do Carmo Martins holds a degree in Computer Science from Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), Brazil, and also a masters degree in Computer Science from UFOP, in Computational Intelligence and Optimization research areas.  Currently, he is enrolled in the Doctoral Programme in Network and Information Technologies from the Open University of Catalunya (UOC), Barcelona, Spain. During his undergraduate and masters degree, he was involved in research projects in the area of Transportation and Logistics. Recently, he has worked in production scheduling problems and e-commerce.  His research interests include Operational Research, Combinatorial Optimization, Metaheuristics, Scheduling, Routing, Smart Cities and Supply Chain Management.
