Doctor by the Universitat de Barcelona with the thesis Cognitive conflicts in depression: from symptom construction to identity reconstruction 2015. Supervised by Dr. Guillem Feixas Viaplana.
Dr Adrián Montesano is a member of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), and specializes in the area of psychotherapy and clinical psychology. He is the director of several programmes in psychotherapy, including the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology and the postgraduate course in Brief Systemic Therapy, and teaches in several training programmes for psychotherapists both in Spain and abroad. He works with several professional psychotherapy associations, including the Spanish Constructivist Psychotherapies Association (ASEPCO), the Spanish Narrative Therapy Association (AETEN) and the Catalan Family Therapy Society (SCTF), and is the national coordinator of the International Society for Psychotherapy Research ( SPR ). He is a member of the Intervention in Clinical and Health Psychology research group, where he carries out applied research on interpersonal relations, health and psychotherapy.
