The R&D activities of researcher Milagros Sainz focus on the motivational and psychosocial factors behind the vocational segregation of girls and boys from secondary education on. Her main research interests are gender stereotypes, the influence of the socialisation process in choosing courses (theories of social learning, of social roles and choice of achievement, etc.) and the digital gender gap. She also specialises in the use of quantitative and qualitative methodologies in social research. She is lead researcher of the UOC's Gender and ICT R&D group.
