Doctor by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya with the thesis Internet, escola i comunitat en el trànsit cap a la societat xarxa. La incorporació d’internet al sistema educatiu de Catalunya per al desenvolupament comunitari 2015. Supervised by Dr. Josep Maria Mominó.

He has a PhD in the Information and Knowledge Society (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) and a degree in Psychology (University of Oviedo). He is a full professor in Research Methods at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, is the director of Learning and Teaching Analysis at the eLearning Innovation Center (eLinC), and a researcher in the MISS (Measuring and Improving Student Success) research group of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. His research lines focus on the application of quantitative research methods, sample design, survey design and administration, and multivariate data analysis.
