The R&D activities of researcher Ferran Giménez Prado focus on the analysis of e-learning and the application of information and communications technologies in university-level virtual learning environments in the fields of telecommunications engineering and the multimedia diploma (Graduat Multimèdia), following the directives of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). In particular, he looks at the elements affecting the student's work space –from general (curriculum) to specific design (a classroom resource for achieving a particular competence)– and concentrates chiefly on the practical and technical aspects of professional competences. He is a member of the UOC's ITOL (Interactive Tools for Online Learning) R&D group.
