The past and present research activity performed both at the UOC and at the UAB revolves around two closely associated fields: the social commitment of technology and teaching. This research analyses the very diverse influences and consequences of the new technologies in society, particularly in the field of the information and communication technologies.   As a field of expertise, teaching (learning methodologies and tools) becomes the main channel for transmitting ethical knowledge and implications, both in the professional sphere and in the areas of social justice, development and sustainability. Consequently, my research follows an interdisciplinary approach that encompasses the disciplines of social sciences and engineering.
