The main aim of researcher Eulàlia Hernández i Encuentra's R&I work is the study of the psychological aspects connected with the use of ICT in relation to people’s health and quality of life. Her current lines of work are linked to the online promotion of health among different groups and states of health (chronic pain, teenagers, elderly, carers), both in terms of users' or potential users' knowledge of online healthcare and the ICT interventions that can be designed to improve health and quality of life. Her previous research lines at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and Ramon Llull University (URL) were related to psychoeducational and cultural aspects. She takes part in various activities and projects in collaboration with other national and international research institutions and centres. The results of her research contribute not only to improving people’s quality of life, but also to providing government agencies with better Guidance on the use of ICT to promote health in its broadest sense. She coordinates the UOC’s PSiNET (Psychology, Health and the Net) research group, a consolidated group recognized by the Government of Catalonia (SGR2018-389).
