Bousta’s publications focus on public comparative law. The topic of her PhD dissertation (published by L´Harmattan in 2010 and awarded Best PhD by the French Centre for Comparative Law that same year) was good administration, and she has published several articles in French, UK, US and Mexican peer-reviewed journals on the right to good administration, the ombudsman and comparative administrative law. She has also published several articles and chapters in collective books on human rights, particularly on the principle of proportionality in constitutional case law.  Recently her research has been partly focused on counterterrorist legal provisions and especially the new means of intelligence services involving the internet (cybercrime, online crime watch, etc) and their impact on freedom of movement, the right to privacy and freedom of expression, with special attention given to French law.
