Of National scope.

Project SEEArchWeb aims to develop and present a new instructional approach for the subject domain of Archaeology based on networked technologies. This project will emphasis on a pilot study for the Prehistoric Archaeology of Southeastern Europe. The purpose of this 3-year collaboration is to: 1. Develop new didactic approaches, instructional models and learning resources that will take advantage of the potential of e-learning technologies and virtual reality environments. 2. Bring knowledge, experience and resources together to facilitate research and instruction in the archaeology of Southeastern European. 3. Introduce database technology with multimedia enhancements accompanied by neural network classifiers in the search for more powerful analysis tools that facilitate critical and innovative thinking. Such technology will be powerful for augmenting the critical skills of the learners as well as for enabling students to become junior researchers.
