Mediterranean Open REsouRcEs for Social Innovation of SociaLly ResponsIve ENTerprises
Of European scope.
MED companies and clusters are insufficiently equipped to address the innovation potential of human capital that can be harnessed and boost their competitiveness. The same applies to the creation of new enterprises. The project will focus on a specific set of innovative activities, which well refer to as "multisectoral clusters with high social vocation". By that, the project identifies clusters of companies with a social and inclusive vocation (including social enterprises, but also for profit companies) that operate across key MED sectors, such as cultural and creative clusters, education and health (dealing with demographic change), but also in the whole value-chain of green (E.G. circular economy), and blue (E.G.sustainable and accessible coastal tourism) growth. What characterizes these clusters which include a diversity of forms of enterprises - is the direct and positive impact of their activities/services/products at societal level, especially regarding new social needs brought about demographic change and global competitiveness dynamics.
