Activating Spaces with neuroDiverse Publics
Of European scope.
Activating Spaces with neuroDiverse Publics (ASD-Publics) aims to re-vision public space for neurodivergent people, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families in particular. By improving nature-based solutions in selected public playable spaces in the city, the project will explore innovative design strategies linking inclusive play with nature and aesthetics and will equip urban practitioners with methodologies and tools to design sustainable playable spaces for and with the ASD community. This will be done by piloting a co-creation performative methodology that provides an embodied experience of space through experiments with the body, play and other creative ways of exploring multi-sensoriality and connectivity with space through aesthetic appreciation.
