Of European scope.

This study has four main objectives: - To gather for the first time statistically representative and cross-country comparable data on the digital inclusion of the main IEM groups (first and second generations) living in eight Member States (United Kingdom, Austria, Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Latvia and Czech Republic) and its relation with IEMs integration needs and outcomes in our society; - To analyse the above information in order to identify the key factors (pertaining to individuals demographic, socio-economic and cultural features; to migration stages and projects; to contextual cultural, institutional and other aspects) that seem to shape both digital inclusion levels/patterns and their effects on social and economic integration; - To develop policy-oriented recommendations aimed at improving the contribution of ICT to IEM's integration in our society, based on the above data and analyses and on other evidence gathered for this study; - To design, test and document the features and implementation complexity, barriers and solutions of a methodology to perform quantitative surveys of IEMs digital inclusion and integration outcomes in a cross-country perspective.
