Novel indoor positioning system for human motion capture
Of Regional scope.
The project strategy is to research the contribution of additional wearable sensors to deploy an indoor positioning system capable of compensating the deviations of the inertial-only technique in real-time. The research will be applied in the creation of a highly innovative product that the current market cannot offer: an inertial-magnetic motion capture system with real-time translational precision without precedents on this product layer. This would enable the application of this type of systems in promising disciplines with great potential on the market, such as virtual reality and video games, sports analysis, or rehabilitation.
