The project aims to contribute towards the improvement of the fashion industry closing loop management, as well as to pervasive health monitoring. Allowing the massive and automated low-cost processing of use garments for recycling purposes, by unassisted fabrics identification, could represent a key step in the effort towards sustainability and efficiency of fashion and related industries like retail.
