Knowledge exchange in scientific research: a study of ATLAS networks
Of National scope.
1. To develop diagnostic tools designed to identify the key dimensions of knowledge exchange. These tools are meant to build maps of three different aspects: the critical knowledge assets, the cultural and institucional characteristics of the stakeholders in the ATLAS project and the learning processes that happen there. 2. To validate and elaborate these mapping tools by exploring differing perceptions of the way knowledge exchange is enacted and experienced by scientists participating in the above process 3. To advance new theoretical understandings of the emergence of new ways of organizing knowledge-related processes in the experimental physical sciences with particular relevance to the successful creation and difusión of knowledge across networks 4. To analyze the implications for the governance of research in specialized institutions and contribute to enhance its impact. This will be achieved by identifying the dimensions of knowledge exchange required during the life-cycle of projects
