Of Regional scope.

SMART-TRANS, XI-CTP network proposal has the following global objectives: 1. Diagnosis and statement of the main concerns and future challenges of horizontal cooperation in green transportation & logistics. 2. Development of theoretical models that represent adequately the real transportation & logistics problems faced by the SMEs, especially in regions such as the Pyrenees, where environmental issues have to be considered. 3. Development of new matheuristics, metaheuristics, and simheuristics that benefit from advances in computing to efficiently solve transportation & logistics problems considering horizontal cooperation and environmental issues. 4. Technology transfer in close collaboration between the research groups and enterprises, either in the form of business contracts, joint development of industrial doctorates, or throughout participation in H2020 projects.
