Language4Kids: Creation of a spin-off of educational technology for improving oral language based on scientific evidence.

Of Regional scope.

Language4Kids is born from the need to bring scientific evidence about teaching and intervention of oral and written language to society. Language4Kids is based on the combination of research evidence and latest trends in disruptive educational technology (artificial intelligence, voice recognition, computer-human interaction, etc.). Thus, the main purpose of this spin-off company will be to create apps, programs and platforms to improve both oral and written abilities in children for schools, neuropsychology and speech and language clinics and families. Language4Kids has been designed with an interdisciplinary perspective. The scientific responsible of the project, Dr. Llorenç Andreu is a full professor and researcher with extensive experience in the field of language development and disorders. On the other hand, the entrepreneur is Esteban Peñaherrera, software engineer and project manager with more than 12 years’ experience, who has developed several applications and who is now completing his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Andreu. Currently, we are finishing the development of the evidence-based serious game PICOFON (Personalized Program for the Improvement of Phonological Awareness) which will be the company’s first product.
